Full Narrative

In summer 2024, I purchased a new computer. Later that day I went to the library to configure it using the library's WiFi. I stepped away from the computer for a few moments, returning to see that it had been forced offline where I did not have the ability to even connect to the WiFi. It said, Your device can only access other devices on your local network. Having never seen and experienced this before, I was forced to research a solution using the library's computer, requiring me to reconfigure the computer in the background to allow me access to the WiFi. It was immediately evident that the computer had been compromised therefore I returned the computer. Even a brand-new machine in a public library was sabotaged within minutes of use.
