Event 87 — San Diego: Attorney Computer Manipulation (September 2024)

SLII: Surveillance, Life Invasion, Interference

Full Narrative

Late September 2024. I used my attorney’s computer to reserve a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City arrival October 23. I researched the hotel through an online travel search engine. The hotel first came up only in Vietnamese. My attorney and I valiantly tried to make a reservation including making a number of calls for assistance. I was unable to complete the first reservation when I decided to try a second time. Suddenly, the English version of that same hotel became available. I completed the reservation and then had to contend with dealing with the first reservation that would not seem to easily cancel.
