Manager Reported Activities as Subterfuge
The manager reported my innocent activities as possible subterfuge. She offered me two Saigon and Vietnam walking tour books only to tell intelligence operatives I was engaged in surveillance and sabotage activities. Many of the historical buildings had been converted to high level government offices. I followed the books’ routes and not interested in the government activities. In December 2024, I experienced tremendous walking problems. The manager knew referred me to the local Vietnamese government orthopedic rehabilitation clinic. Something was wrong. I was not supposed to be there. No other foreigners lined up for medical assistance. She referred me to them as a part of the intelligence operative plan to monitor and surveil. One day I noticed an intelligence operative following me. I abruptly stopped at the corner, turned my head, and looked at him. Surprised, he froze and did not move for some time. He ran across the street to check out the food carts nearby all the while looking at me. I stood watching him for some time before walking on. I later mentioned it to the manager. She waved me off because she knew intelligence operatives were following me.
