Full Narrative

In 2024, I decided to only plug in the television to the power strip; no other electronic equipment. Afterward I turned the television off using the power strip. Right after that someone turned off the television remotely. That person, too, could turn off the television at will. I checked the television settings many times to see if it was connected to the WiFi. It was not. I used a digital antenna to access local stations. The only WiFi connection was through Roku. Even isolated on a power strip with no WiFi connection, the television could still be controlled remotely—suggesting either compromise of the Roku or hidden connectivity.
